Report: As a mountain guide, fitness and nutrition is important to my success. After contacting the Wilderness Athlete (good people to talk to) I was shipped out a 10 Xtreme Pack. The following spring I used the product during a 7 day Black Bear hunt, guiding for TF Outfitters. The ability to hike and staying alert is important while hunting a big game animal that can turn the tables in a second. This little box contains enough performance products, to see the most die hard hunter through a 10 day extreme backcountry hunt. There is absolutely a ton of science behind these products, but you do not need to be a scientist to realize when something works. In addition, you do not need to be a fitness guru to receive the benefits of this product. Whether sitting in a tree stand staying alert, or climbing you way into goat country, this product will help. If taste is important, you are in luck here as well, in the past I have sampled other products that taste similar to a dog turd in a flashy wrapper, fortunately the Wilderness Athlete put in the extra little effort to ensure a good tasting performance product. This product is truly worth all it’s hype; if you take your outdoor nutrition seriously, give this one a try.
Hits: A performance product that not only works crazy good, but it tastes good too! There are a lot of products to choose from. The folks at Wilderness Athlete are good people to deal with. The website is packed with the science behind what makes the product work.
Misses: The only one is that we (in Canada) do not know much about them….Yet!
Price vs. Value: At $129.95, this is a steal. With all the science packed into each package, how much would you pay to give yourself the edge while on your hunting trip of a lifetime? It is hard to put enough value on something that could mean so much. If falling asleep in the stand or gassing out going up the mountain is not an option, neither is not having the right performance products…. That’s the bottom line.
